how the work works
Every engagement starts with a clear picture of where you are and the structure underneath the story. We use two psychometric tools to build that picture together.
The iEQ9 Enneagram is, in our view, the most useful personality framework in the world. It doesn't label you, it maps the motivational logic you've been operating from. The patterns and strategies that formed for good reasons and have been running largely on autopilot ever since.
SuccessFinder maps the behavioural expression of that architecture- what comes naturally, what costs effort, where the gap is between the two. It gives the work an empirical foundation and surfaces the blind spots that are hardest to see from the inside.
Together they give us a clear starting point. From there the work follows the ACG Arc.
The ACG Arc
We start with what's true now. Where you are, where you want to go, and what’s stopping you.
In the second phase we start building what the next chapter requires- and this is where the real patterns surface. Most people are running the same loop without knowing it: they try something, evaluate against an old standard, conclude it isn't working, and return to what's familiar. We make that loop visible, interrupt it, and build new behaviour from the inside out.
The third phase is about making the change real and durable. This means two things happening together: stabilizing the new ways of operating so they don't collapse under pressure, and building a new evaluative lens alongside them. Old success criteria applied to new behaviour will always make the new behaviour feel wrong. Without both stabilization and a new standard, change doesn't stick.
The Arc isn't a straight line and it isn't a fix. It's a shape that keeps going.
"I was initially anxious about working with a coach due to the broadness and ill-defined nature of what my goals were. Matt was great at putting those pre-conceived concerns at ease and taking the time to work with me to uncover possible directions." -John, Business Development Officer
